Is good oral mucosa to reconstruct itself?
Question:
Hello!
I had removed a mucosele for about 3 months ago. When the dentist had suspected that there was still something of mucoselet back I got a little more removed 2 months later, which turned out to be scar tissue that lay back (was a few millimeters). It is now the last month and that has healed well, but there is one step down in the upper layers of skin which provide a shirred, all the way to the outside of the lip. I'm obviously very sad.
Therefore, I ask if it ever comes loose or "grow up" then chopped / wrinkle disappear? oral mucosa is usually good to "reconstruct" himself?
Many thanks for your help!
Regards Anne
Answer:
Dear Anne,
Normally, good oral mucosa to reconstruct itself, but when there is scar tissue, so it appears that it will not do it. I think that if you have any complaints at this so please talk to your dentist. Find out if he / she can help you or refer you to a specialist.
Hope you can use my answer.
