Violent pain

    Question:

I started a week ago to unspeakable violent pain in my tooth, where after a few days felt like that all the teeth on the same side did much evil. I was at the dentist today and was diagnosed with a hole that had gone down to the nerve which was causing the severe pain. I've now had it made, but now the pain after stunning come back again, now they are just twice as bad. It must be said that I have a pain around the clock and I do not sleep at night because the pain is so extreme. I've got some Ibumetin (400mg) and normal temperature. Paracetamol which tilsydladende work only a very small percentage. I have kept myself to these all week, but now my limit elapsed. It can not be right that I should go and have so much pain all the time. So my two questions are:

From what I have arrived at via google.dk, then a hole down to nerves cause inflammation, which causes the severe pain. So I think .. If so, then I should probably be able to get a prescription for something that is a lot more effective than those that I have now?

And I can do something to prevent rather than later root canal?

I hope to get an answer otherwise
    Thanks in advance.

    Regards Anne

    Answer:

Your teeth must rodbehandles if you have so much pain for so long. It will help the pain to get the root canal treated. It is not necessary with penicillin if the inflammation of a tooth.

My 5-tile in the left side of the foot hurts. I've had problems with dental pain in the number of years. It is the root canal treated, but still pain. The drill out again. Still pain. Penicillin, Primcillin several times and Metronidasol 1X. Last roddehandl.for almost 3 years ago when I got penicillin several times. The dentist said that if the inflammation was not completely gone, it would propagate to the weakest tand.Det occurred 2 weeks later, when wisdom tooth the same side was violently inflamed and had fjernes.Siden the pain come and gone, often quite violent, so it feels up in the above tooth and almost spreads kinden.Tanden is brushed in the tooth neck, then it is also very sensitive to kulde.Tanden course x-rayed several times without my dentist can see anything. Hygienist has spoken of a fistula, which komemr and go, but even at a rodspidsoperation think she does not, you can be sure that the pain disappears.

    Dear Swiften,

If there is something with a fistula that comes and goes, it should be treated regardless of whether there is any doubt whether the pain disappears or not. I know, can inflammation from one tooth not attack some other weak teeth. So your 5, and wisdom are two different things.

pain / inflammation after tooth extraction

    19th September 2011
    Filed in Pain and Anesthesia

    Question:

I hope you can help me with an explanation of the following:

I have a plastic filling in right under the mouth (cheek teeth), which repeatedly has been built up because of the tooth was well worn and not much left.
but it happens to break something off again and go enough with it for too long until I get a sudden pain in the tooth and it looks like the neck and ear.
comes to the dentist, which takes an image x-rays which do not show inflammation, and the hole is made again with the plastic, which is quite a large tooth.
after 2 days it's crazy with pain .. get penicillin on a Tuesday and Friday, I must stay at the dentist ... where it is either root canal or tooth extraction ... I choose the latter because of the worn teeth, etc.
dentist tooth looks so great a hole in the middle of the tooth as he says goes down to the nerve
is there inflammation in the roots and the jaw? and a root canal would have been better? or what does it mean??

but despite the draw ... I still get terrible pain and could soon be in some places, eat lots of painkillers each day.
is thick lower jaw and feel the glands are swollen and the ugly pain running up along the neck next to your ear and the back of the head and temples.
come back to the dentist and he looks after there are clots of blood Cost tooth, but it's not ... but talk about a ensym and bones ... did not understand this completely .. there are loose pieces of bone? was put gauze with clove down ... did not think it takes the pain enough?? and he talked about maybe going to every day?
He explained something that had to grow something on the bone before the pain would not stop ...
but can you explain me a little more about it last?? went so fast so I could not follow all of this ..
thought you just went to the dentist and got a tooth out and then it was over ;-( never had such problems before?

it's because I've gone too long with the hole or tooth wear? (I am 55 years old)

just forgot the dentist said that about 1 in 10 got those genes?

    MVH Mia
look forward to your reply ;-)

    Answer:

    Dear Mia

They call it "dry alveolar" or "alveolitis sicca dolorosa" which is what gives you so many genes now. It happens rarely. When you pull a tooth out, formed a blodkoagle where the tooth has been. It grows over time into the blood and eventually is completely filled with bone and mucosal again. Rarely it happens that this blood clot is lost. When this happens, the bone bar, and this gives so much pain because of that out through the bone there's a lot of nerve endings that are very sensitive. The dentist can alleviate this pain by putting eugenol into this empty alveoli (here, where the tooth has been sitting). Forålet of this is to "burn" the nerve endings of which relieve the symptoms somewhat. It also helps to rinse well in its socket. Your symptoms should be declining, and you can get a prescription for some stronger pain killers to your dentist.

    A speedy recovery.

    Question:

    Dear Tandpleje.dk

I have a year now, gone with great pain in my left jaw. I had a wisdom tooth that was pulled to the left of the foot when I thought it was the one that was wrong with. But it's like the hole that would be after the tooth had been pulled out, still swollen and it hurts when I touch it. It is very heavy and deep pain in her left cheek. When it stands on is I noticed that my left nostril, usually a stop and they pull down my throat and into my temple and the left eye.
Is there anything I can do on their own. Are students so it would be too expensive for me to go to a dentist!

    Sincerely.

    Martin!

    Answer:

    Dear Martin,

It sounds very unpleasant. You can seek dental school in Copenhagen or Aarhus. Now I do not know which of those closest to you, but you may be examined free of charge. You pay of course with your time. But I think you should have it checked as soon as possible.

    Should I choose root canal?

    13th January 2010

    Question:

I stand by, I think saying a big problem. Go out and travel a half years on January 5 and since it is Christmas OVS, I have not much time to watch an. I got in november removed a temporary filling that I had a half years. Did the temporary filling because I had a big hole where there was a piece of silver filling that had been broken. Has no symptoms experienced in the six years I had the temporary filling. When I looked in november have removed it and put plastic I begin to get symptoms. Already inside the dentist I notice as she polishes the tooth to which a small area that hurts when touched. This area has bothered me a bit ago. My dentist believes it is because the filling was too high and therefore cut the tooth 2 times. After grinding has the place in question, however, been even more sore and reacted to the cold and when I scratch with a fingernail. Especially when I'm out in the cold winter air can I get a lot of pain up through the tooth. The days where I've been very out is the extra sensitive and responsive to hot. There may also be days where I do not think the tooth is sensitive eg those days where I primarily at home. I think even in the case of the nerve is too close to filling and therefore is very delicate. My concern is that I do not know if I need root canal treatment it? The best would probably be to let time pass, but it's a little difficult because I will soon travel to Asia for six years. Can live with my pain now, but I need to know that the pain does not become worse and that there is no risk of infection. Must finally say that I am 25 years old, never been root canal treated. What should I do?

    Sincerely, Laura

    Answer:

    Dear Laura,

You must let your dentist evaluate for yourself whether the tooth should rodbehandles or not. It's a bad sign that the tooth reacts to heat and you have pain in it. Indicating that it ends with a root canal. If your dentist has determined that it is best to wait, it's probably true in your case.

    Pain in the jaw sometimes

    Question:

    Hello Dentistry,
Since my last dentist visit, I have had pain in my jaw sometimes. It was the worst right after my last dentist visit. So I did not have so big problems for 2-3 months. But now it starts getting worse again. It varies how long it take a while. It may take 1 day or 3 weeks, sometimes I have a sore jaw. It normally goes away after 1 day. It is most to the right.
If I must have done something about it, should I turn to my dentist or my doctor?
    Sincerely

    Jane

    Answer:

    Dear Jane,

This suggests that it is the temporomandibular joint on the right side that bothers you. Talk to your dentist about it. He can also exclude it from the teeth or muscles.

Hope you can use my answer.

The dentist seems so unsympathetic towards my pain

    20th August 2009
    Filed in Pain and Anesthesia

    Question:

I truly believe that my pain threshold is ok high - has born 3 children without anesthesia and had performed a part in the dentist the last few months even without anesthesia

But audiovisual audiovisual audiovisual I have such a toothache and has had it for almost a half weeks now Trying to tell myself that it's just nonsense and I'll pull myself together, but it makes just as bad

I got one and a half months ago drilled two deep holes out and made a pulpaoverkapning (ie, she tried to get the nerves to pull together).

In Wednesday she drilled them out completely - nerves had not retired, as hoped - but it all looked fine and so she sealed them. She could not give any guarantee that it would succeed and that it eventually could end up with a root canal - but she was VERY optimistic.

But since then I've just had an evil evil evil I was down there last Friday again and she gave me some penicillin and so she thought otherwise just that it should have some rest It all looked fine and it does not hurt when she finds on the teeth - it would obviously do if the nerve has been damaged.

Yet she tried to paint one of his teeth because my teeth were very sore bare

I would also say it's been a bit better - but not very violent.

The first few days I took 2 * 600 mg. Ibumetin - but the dentist thought that if something was wrong, I had been in need of painkillers 4 times a day.

Now I content myself with taking a morning - but still have pain at night may fall asleep for the

If I do not take pills, ie. when I wake in the morning ranges in the tooth and I do NOT drink / eat something cold at all - it hunts SO much of it as the tears roll And even if I take one pill in the morning, "forget" Unfortunately, I drink during the day because is so afraid of the pain (think sku I end up losing me of it here)

Feel so protective mother to the dentist seems so unsympathetic (is really really cute, so not that way) to this pain

Must be down there tomorrow again - but it is getting a second hole

    Regards

    Henriette

    Answer:

    Dear Henriette

Can understand that you are frustrated. You may make reservations for my answer, because it is a little difficult to comment on such a specific question.

The tooth should rodbehandles. When the dentist knock on the tooth, she checks whether the inflammation is out of the bone. And, as your symptoms are, so I estimate that it is only a matter of time. Once the tooth is so hyper-sensitive, nerve already has been damaged. It is not meant that you need so bad, but as I said, it is somewhat difficult to give a definite answer when I have not seen X-ray or tooth.

Hope you can use my answer.

Pain at the change to plastic fillings

    Question:

I have changed all my old fillings out with plastics. It's almost 3 months ago and I still have pain in most of the mouth. Is it normal for Replacing the plastic fillings or should I visit my dentist?

    Anonymous

    Answer:

    Dear user

It is very common that the teeth may be sore for a new plastic filling. Some causes symptoms up to 6 months and others will never be asymptomatic. If this has great genes with them, the tooth probably rodbehandles. It's always a good idea to consult dentist if you are unsure or have pain. I do not know how many panels it comes in your case, but perhaps the chewing surface adjusted if you chew too hard on a few teeth, it can also cause symptoms.

Hope you can use my answer.
