Huge hole after wisdom tooth removal

    Question:

    Hello
I've just been to the dental school in Copenhagen where I had removed the lower wisdom tooth due to inflammation. I got my stitches removed 4 days ago and have not seen the scale before now that I was very shocked that there was a huge hole. It is so deep that I would argue that by could easily get stuck into the hole. Is this normal? The hole is not only a depression but a real hole, as if the tooth has just been removed.

    Greetings Mia

    Answer:

    Dear Mia,

Yes it is normal. It will eventually disappear altogether, in that the gums and the bone heals. But there has certainly been a lack of communication from your processor's side since you are better informed of the progress. But you're always welcome to apply again at dental school, if there are any problems.

Hope you can use my answer.

    Sincerely

    Dentist Joan Olsen
