Grants for a ceramic hanger

Question:

Hello Dentist!

I am a young guy of 17 years who is going to get fixed my smile and my jaws. Right now I'm sitting with a sign palate with ganebøjle as expanding my upper jaw. Then I must have put rail, and fixed my teeth. Since I am still under 18, this is all paid for by the municipality.

Now I sit then on my second year of high school, and I would be much more happy a little more discreet underwire. My dentist offers shown enough of a “female” togskinne. Now is my question then; Is it something I can get, as 17. year at the municipality's expense? Or must one to pull the wallet out?

My cousin in the UNITED states also has the rail, but he has normal railway tracks at the bottom and at the top he has a togskinne made of ceramic. These ceramic rail is something you can get done in Denmark? And if you can, is it then again on the municipality or at its expense?

Thanks in advance

Sean

Answer:

Dear Sean

I think you need to consult your dentist. I can't say anything about what options they can offer you. The rail you speak of is called Invins Align.

Higher subsidies for dental care in Norway

22. February 2010
Filed in News

Among the Norwegian government's election promises was that it would extend the subsidy to voksenbefolkningens dentistry.

It must partly be done by making the examinations free of charge for people over 75 years of age, and may impose a ceiling for an upper user fees on an annual dkk 3,000., after which the public provides completely or partially the grant for other expenses. The amount is dkk 3,000. provided that 80 % of the patients have an annual cost to the dental care of up to dkk 3,000.

In order to ensure a geographically better tandlægedækning considering the government to introduce a scheme, which means that the general practitioner dentists receive a fixed amount per. registered patient equivalent to what applies for the general practitioners.

Grants to voksentandpleje in Norway is today defined as særomsorg, as the grant does not include the entire population, but only being given to the dental treatment as a result of, among other things, rare medical disease, lip-jaw-palate - cleft and dental injuries in connection with the accident.

So far the plans only on the drawing board, but the government has as a general objective, that the state gradually assume greater responsibility for the population's oral health.

Funding rules by moving from municipal to private dentist

Question:

I have long considered moving our children (11+13 years) to a private dentist, because I think that goes too long between visits (over 1 year) and if a problem occurs, it is almost impossible to get a time 🙁
Now skoletandplejen made a new structure, so that the children are only going to study every 15-16 months. I think it is very important that the teeth be examined, especially now where they are almost only brushes even.

How is the funding rules by moving to a private dentist ?

Mvt.A concerned mother

Answer:

Dear concerned mother

For children and young people under 16 have a free choice to private dentist with a self-payment of 35 %, it will say that the municipality provides subsidies of 65 %. For children and young people of 16 and 17 years old have a free choice of dental care without any co-payment and reimbursement. There must always be an agreement with the municipality within the switch. Contact the municipal dental care in your municipality.

The state grants to tandlægeregninger reduced

Question:

Question from Harald

The state grants to tandlægeregninger been reduced in the last 25 years?

Answer:

Dear Harald,

It was a very interesting question.

Sygesikringens grants for dental care varies and is, on average, 30 % of the price, which is deducted from the patient's expense. But there are many factors that come into play, among other things, collective bargaining, policy initiatives metres.v. So I am unfortunately not able to give you a clear-cut answer.

It is probably more of a statistical task, as Tandlægeforeningen might be able to help you to find out. You can get in touch with them via this website: www.tandlaegeforeningen.dk

Dear Bibbi,

Most dentists offer installments, so that you get split the payment over several times. Talk to your own dentist about your case and ask about their payment schemes. Your own dentist should also be able to inform about evs. subsidies in the municipality.

Can the state/municipality to cover my tandlægeregning?

Question:

Since I have many sølvfyldninger and just for 5 min.ago has cracked yet another tooth I could like to hear about the dentist know about the state/municipality will cover my tandlægeregnig when I am about to be tired of that should have changed the teeth out with someone in the plastic.Have not had a gap in my teeth since I left primary school for a number of years ago and at the time only go to the dentist without having holes and be drilled and have filled the silver in my teeth.Have a hard time believing I can be the only one with this problem. This is just a polite inquiry.

Mvt.Susanne

Answer:

Dear Susanne

I can well understand why you are frustrated. But the teeth wear out too with age, and it is quite normal that they break with time, especially when they have been drilled in before. The cause may be dental caries or infraktion in the tooth.

You can seek local authority about grants for dental care. So you must together with your dentist create a treatment plan that says what treatments are necessary and how much they cost. This must be included when you apply for grants. It is individually where/ or if we get some money for treatment, and this is taken into account what income you have.

Hope you can use my answer.
